“Every bake is made with patience, love, and a thankful heart.”
I’m Jas — a wife, mom, and home baker who fell in love with the ancient, soulful art of wild sourdough and wholesome home baking.
What started as a kitchen passion to nourish my family with wholesome, unadulterated bread blossomed into Sweet Haven Bakes. In a world of hurried commercial loaves filled with artificial additives and speed-yeasts, our kitchen honors the slow, patient craft: nurturing wild sourdough culture, folding dough by hand, and giving every loaf up to 48 hours of cold fermentation to develop incredible flavor and easy digestion.
Whether you’re here for a crusty country loaf, savory jalapeño cheddar bread, or our viral marshmallow-stuffed s’mores cookies, we pour heart, faith, and pride into every batch.
Unbleached flours, filtered water, sea salt, and wild levain. No chemical dough conditioners, no fake preservatives.
The long fermentation breaks down gluten and phytic acid, creating gentle, gut-friendly artisan bread.
Every loaf and cookie is mixed, shaped, scored, and baked fresh for local porch pickup.
True sourdough cannot be rushed. Discover why our slow process produces unforgettable flavor, better nutrition, and easy digestion.
We feed our active wild starter with unbleached flour and pure water, waiting for it to peak at maximum bubbly, sweet-fermented vigor.
Flour and water rest together to allow gluten strands to form naturally before wild yeast and unrefined sea salt are gently kneaded in.
Every 30 minutes, the dough is stretched and folded over itself by hand, building air pockets, elasticity, and dough strength without rough machinery.
The secret to perfection! Shaped into bannetons and chilled for up to 36 hours. Beneficial microbes break down gluten and develop complex flavors.
Scored with delicate artistic blade cuts, then baked at 450°F in screaming hot cast-iron Dutch ovens for blistered crusts and singing crackles.
Simple ingredients, patient fermentation, made by hand
There is a profound difference between a factory-manufactured supermarket loaf and an artisanal sourdough loaf born from a 2-day fermentation process.
“Every bake takes two full days of intention, care, and clean ingredients. Thank you for choosing real food and supporting my small business!”

Everything you need to know about our bakes, pickup, and caring for your bread.
We bake in dedicated weekly small batches to ensure everything is at peak freshness. When you send Jasmine a message or reach out via Instagram, we confirm your pickup time window for porch pickup. Local pickup only.
Because of the natural acidity of wild sourdough, our loaves naturally stay fresh on the counter for 4 to 5 days! Keep your loaf cut-side down on a wooden cutting board or in a linen bread bag. Never put it in the refrigerator (that dries it out). For long term storage, slice the loaf and freeze it — you can pop frozen slices directly into the toaster!
Our sourdough is made with unbleached wheat flour, so it is not gluten-free and not suitable for those with Celiac disease. However, many people who experience mild wheat sensitivities find they can comfortably enjoy our sourdough because the 24–48 hour long cold fermentation breaks down most gluten and hard-to-digest carbohydrates.
Yes! We love baking for birthdays, family dinners, brunches, and church events. Please send Jasmine a message at least 4 to 5 days in advance so we can prepare our sourdough levain and bake schedule for your gathering.
